Experiencing Safety and Technology in a Lexus 0

No matter how subtle the styling enhancements are, safety is as luxurious as anything else. Only the highest technology can be expected from high-end luxury cars. Aside from the usual array of stability control, adaptive cruise control and headlights, accident avoidance radar and airbags, the LS 600h L introduces the world’s first driver monitor.

There are two cameras that monitor the driver’s face from atop the steering column for any signs of danger such as being distracted or sleepy. The car also beeps to alert the driver when it is approaching an object. When all else fails, the safety system takes over by tightening the seatbelt, priming the brakes plus the necessary emergency preparations for crashing.

Legal Poker 0

One of the most common things that children and teenagers say when they are caught doing something wrong is: but everyone else is doing it! Then we calmly explain to them that just because someone else is doing it, does not make it right. Unfortunately there are adults that need this little pep talk as well because when it comes to online gambling, there are many US players that gamble frequently on illegal online gambling sites. However, there are ways to play poker in the fun in a legal way.

This can be done through Duplicate Poker, which is the only legal poker room for US players. Duplicate Poker is played against people that are sitting at other tables and that are holding the same cards as you. This game is not a matter of luck but of skill. So, it is no longer gambling but a real game of skill. One can play poker legally on this site. The site is easy to use and one can have a great time while following the law all the while.

Future Online Libraries 0

As the years go by, more and more tasks are being replaced by online versions. One of the major next replacements will be the online libraries where all of the estimated fifty million to a hundred million books in the world will be available to be read online. As convenient as this new development may be, many people will still prefer to go to an actual library and turn the pages of a book manually.

Print It As You Like 0

One of the greatest things that are available today is the ability to personalize and customize items as you like it. This is great for clothing, jewelry, furniture, décor, and stationary. I especially like to be able to get my printing goods customized. They are not only great for business purposes but for personal ones as well. Whether you are sending out a thank you note, an invitation, or a letter, it’s terrific when it can be immediately recognized by its recipient, by its unique design.

At VistaPrint you can find a wide range of printing goods including graduation announcements, business cards, checks, rubber stamps, announcements, and car magnets. Each and every one of their wonderful products can be customized to your liking. You get to decide what your desired product will look like. It makes such a great impression when you send a letter with a customized stamp, enveloped, or stationary. Having customized checks makes it easier to recognize your checks whenever there is a need. It is easy to work with VistaPrint since they are so helpful and friendly. Customizing items has never been easier. I know that I appreciate customized stationary much more than the standard commercial ones, so I’m sure others feel the same way when they receive mine.

No More Shortcuts 0

Teenagers these days have become so accustomed to using computers for a variety of purposes including chatting, emailing, and social networking, that their online grammar and spelling has begun to seep into their school work. A large percentage of high school students have been leaving out capitals, using shortcuts such as LOL (Laugh out loud), and emoticons ( ) in their assignments. It has been predicted that the next generation will have different writing guidelines. However, until that happens, students will have to be more careful.

Solar, Atomic and Analog 0

I think it’s finally time to switch to analog. Funny, no? Usually you hear people going the other way around with things - from digital to analog. Well, all my life I’ve been going with digital watches. I’m addicted to Casio ever since they introduced their first calculator watch. But I figure now that I don’t really need these capabilities (cellphone, pda etc.) I may as well get a watch that looks more to my age :). But I figure just because the face of the watch is nice and elegant that doesn’t mean I can’t go with a cool high tech back end. I’ve been checking out the Casio watches selection at bluedial.com and I’m pretty sure I’ll go with the Casio WVQ120DA-2AV Men’s Atomic Executive Wave ceptor Solar Watch Blue Dial watch. What’s cool about the Wave captor watches is that they get their time automatically through radio signals sent from an atomic clock center. How can you beat that? It’s a nice classic looking watch with a nice young touch to it and even though the display is analog, it keeps time to the millisecond thanks to the atomic clock sync it performs numerous times throughout the day. It’s even powered by solar energy so you never have to change the battery or set the time.

The Nano Car 0

The world’s first single-molecule vehicle has been built using nano-technology. It has a chassis, pivoting axles and rotating wheels. Measuring about three to four nanometers across, it is slightly wider than a strand of DNA. The synthesis and testing of nanocars and other molecular machines are expected to provide critical insights in the investigations of bottom-up molecular manufacturing.

Man would eventually need to move objects and do work in a controlled fashion on the molecular scale and a nanocar is a great test bed for that. It is capable of rolling on its wheels in a direction of right angles to its axles. When tested on a gold surface at room temperature, strong electrical bonds held the wheels tightly against the gold but heating to about 200C enabled them to roll.

A World in One Country 0

I must admit, up until recently I wouldn’t have placed South Africa anywhere near the top of my travel list but lately I’ve been hearing so much about it that I really don’t understand why it’s not one of the leading tourist destinations around (at least not among people I know). What really amazes me about South Africa is the diverse scenery you pick up there. You can combine a beech vacation, shopping, an African Safari and even mountain climbing all in one trip. I especially like a quote I saw at dialaflight.com who offers competitive rate flights to South Africa and other destinations. They called South Africa a world in one country – I couldn’t have said it better myself.
