Blogging 101

If your’e not blogging, you should be. Don’t know where to start?

1. Grab a good memorable domain name from a registrar.
(I suggest GoDaddy, great prices and customer service.)
2. Get some reliable webhosting.
(Go forMediaTemple, reliable and stable.)
2. Install a blogging platform.
(I prefer WordPress.)
3. Use a custom theme.
(If you need a designer, you can contact me.)
4. Distribute your custom theme for free.
(I’m compiling the biggest list of theme distribution sites, stay tuned for a future post.)
5. Remove dates from your meta deta after posts.
(If you think having a calendar of empty posts days is attractive, think again.)
6. Keep a strict schedule.
(If you post once here, and once there, you won’t get regular returning readers. Constant content is the key to blog success.)
7. Network with other bloggers.
(Online friends=traffic.)
8. Leverage the power of social bookmarking and news sites.
9. Leave comments on other blogs.
(This gets your name and opinion out there.)
10. Never stop blogging.
(Once again, constant content.)
11. If you want to make money, monetize your blog.
(Review me, TLA, Adsense, YPN.)
12. If you get tired of blogging, and have a revenue stream, sell your blog.
(eBay, Sitepoint, CSSforSale.)

Badabing, badaboom. Get to blogging, noobs.
