Better than the Rest 0

Recent sales numbers prove how much better Apple is doing than many other smart phone companies. Jus in the past quarter alone Apple has sold 6.9 million iPhones worldwide. How unbelievable is that? Even though this does not put them in the number one place (that is still taken by good old Nokia) they have still managed to beat Blackberry which used to be the icon for smart phones.

The HTC T8290 0

Surprisingly enough HTC has been the company to introduce many of the most recent cell phones that have been extremely impressive. The Touch Pro, G1, and the Touch HD are some of the nicest phones out there, and now the T8290 is joining them. This great looking machine has WiMAX, which basically means it will have unbelievably fast Internet, faster than we’ve seen before. Go HTC!

Getting Away with Imperfection 1

With all that is said about Apple, it is still not perfect. This can especially be said in regards to the newest device, the 3G iPhone, which caused a lot of hype all over the world. Apple wanted to shock and they did, by reducing the price drastically. This was met eagerly by those who had not yet purchased an iPhone, but those that had felt stupid for having spent double a year earlier on an inferior model. With that said, the iPhone 3G phone has its share of problems including bugs. There have been endless complaints and yet Apple manages to keep their feet rooted straight into the ground like always. Whereas such feedback for another company might shut it down, it does not even damage Apple in the least bit because this company is so unusual that is has become an icon and even a few malfunctions cannot change that.

Marketing Strategies 0

There are many successful companies out there, but the most successful ones are the ones which incorporate ingenious marketing strategies. The best example for this is Apple. Although Apple was the first to introduce an MP3 player to the worlds, the main reason other than the brilliant design of the iPod that helped it sell millions of units is the fact that the marketing strategies used to sell it were great. A simple logo became the ultimate icon of the iPod and of MP3 players in general. When Apple came out with the iPhone, it took incredible marketing strategies to be able to market it to the world since it was inferior to many other phones. Apple is on top of the list of successful companies and it is no wonder why.

Trying to Catch On 0

Many of the most sophisticated and advanced technology and gadgets that we use on a daily basis is thanks to the Japanese nation. However, they have some technologies that have not yet made it around the world. The wallet phone is the main example. This type of phone has been available in Japan since 2004. It basically allows cashless payments for vending machines, trains, and stores through the tiny chip that is built into the phone. Japan is aggressively trying to spread these phones to the rest of the world, but without luck in the meantime.

It’s Going Down 0

Could it be? Could it really be? That is what I kept on asking myself when I read an article recently about the decrease in cell phone consumers in the United States. It seems that the average age for a cell phone holder is getting younger and younger, and that many people have more than just one cell phone, so it took me by surprise to read that United States consumers have been buying considerably less cell phones. However, just because people are buying fewer phones does not mean that they are spending less money. There may be a decrease in sales but there is an increase in the fancier and more expensive phones that are being sold.
