Who doesn’t enjoy a piece of good gossip here and there? I know for a fact that most people do, for better or for worse. I know this because I’ve used my blog to let people know some of the latest news of my circle of friends in the subtlest of ways. Apparently I’m not subtle enough because I’ve gotten my share of complaints and accusations which were not too pleasant. However that’s what it takes to tell people what they really want to know.

Gossip Girl does the same through the anonymous blog which supplies students of the elite academic institution that the characters of the upcoming TV show attend, with the juicy information that they want to hear. This new show, created by the creator of the O.C and based on the novel series, revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on NewYork’s Upper East Side. These characters attend private school whilst dealing with issues such as sex, drugs and other teenage issues.

This show is centered on the friendship of best friends Serena Van Der Woodsen and Blaire Waldorf and their shared love interest, Nate Archibald. Not all of the character are wealthy and are part of the same social circle. Dan and Jenny Humphrey are outsiders looking into this privileged world, but nevertheless are pulled into it. Gossip Girl on The CW airs on Wednesdays at 9 p.m. EST.
