October is almost here and for many out there it means back to a long period of work routine following the slower summer months with most of the staff on vacation. But it can also be a pretty depressing period for those who haven’t taken advantage of the summer months for their vacation and are trying to make it till the holidays.

Personally, I actually prefer taking my vacation during the autumn months. That way you get to enjoy the easy summer months at work and have a chance to get away during the gloomy autumn months. But you have to choose your destinations properly weather-wise. One of my favorites is St. Lucia. Due to the island’s proximity to the equator, St. Lucia offers warm weather practically year round.

Be sure to check out the world’s only drive-in volcano as well as the numerous attractions the island offers. Of course, you don’t want to fill your day with too many activities since the real attraction of the island is simply relaxing in one of St. Lucia’s world renowned beaches.
